A response for work done on a condo association project on Asbury Ave:
About a week after Hurricane Sandy, I inspected the crawl space under our Ocean City duplex condo. Flood waters had dampened the bottom 2 inches of our floor joists and ruined the insulation. I called Castlemar the same day. Within 24 hours Fran and his folks had removed the insulation and saved a sample for the FEMA flood insurance inspector. After letting the crawl space dry they sprayed the joists and crawl space with a mold killer and, after that dried, installed new insulation. My family and the other family in our condo association are grateful for Fran's unbelievably fast response and thorough work. There was never any mess. Whenever I called throughout the process Fran called back. I would not hesitate to use Castlemar again and recommend them unequivocally. |

During the course of my many buying and selling adventures in Ocean City over the years, I have had to do some remodels. The only company that I trusted to come in and complete that remodel was Castlemar Construction. Last year my husband and I purchased a cute single cottage but it needed a new kitchen and bath as well as other cosmetic updating. The schedule was tight to complete this work and have it ready for summer rentals as our settlement kept getting pushed back. Fran Davish assured me that it would be done on time and it was ready for summer rentals as promised. The cottage turned out so cute that there isn't a person walking by the home when we are sitting on the porch that doesn't compliment the house. Since we don't live in Ocean City it is nice to have someone that you can trust to make decisions for you that will benefit the remodel. There is no one else that I would consider doing any work for me but Castlemar Construction.

We chose Castlemar Construction Inc., owned and operated by Fran Davish, to build our waterfront house on the north side of 17th Street in Ocean City after visiting with several builders in Ocean City. We were not disappointed with our decision.
Castlemar staff had taken us through many examples of their final work product homes, including a lagoon front home on the south side of 17th Street that was very similar to what we were looking for in our home. This home was a great example of what we might expect as a final product since it was actually the builder’s personal home. We believe that our home is built to the same level of quality and care that was put into the builder’s own home.
The similarity between these two 17th Street homes allowed us to gauge the quality of work that we might expect from Castlemar. During the building process, we were in constant contact with Castlemar personnel. The Castlemar staff was always ready, willing and able to meet with us to discuss the construction progress as well as assist us in the decision-making process. They readily accommodated our “intrusive” involvement in the building process as we were at the job site at least twice per week throughout. In addition to having a personable and cooperative staff, the subcontractors used by Castlemar were all very professional and supportive of us as owners. More than once they were able to offer suggestions during the project that enhanced the end product.
It was a pleasure working with Fran Davish and his entire staff through the process. We could not be more pleased with our experience. |

I first came to know of Castlemar last winter when I received a call from Fran telling me he had just driven past my house and water was rushing out of the garage. Turns out a pipe froze and by being a good Ocean City “neighbor” Fran saved me a lot of potential damage and money. To say thanks I asked Castlemar to help with a couple of improvement projects we had been meaning to get to and they were great! We were able to describe the work over the phone, they provided a timely & detailed estimate, completed the work on schedule and kept us well informed of progress along the way. When we arrived back in Ocean City everything was just as we had hoped it would be. I will definitely use Castlemar again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to a friend or neighbor.

The difference between Castlemar and other builders is details and design. My house reflects my taste and my family's lifestyle. I was particular about the plans and Castlemar worked with me to create a house that captures every conceivable view and doesn't waste space. They also use quality materials and consider every possible architectural detail -- the crown molding, columns, tile work, cabinetry and even hardware not only make a statement about quality, those details are what define good design. You only need see houses built by other builders to recognize the difference. It's all about the details and for me that really is the difference between house and a home. |
